Visual College of Art and Design
Flarian officially launched in Toronto on 23rd March 2012, bringing its signature flash drive/business card to the market. Though initially our business consisted largely of retail sales to individual customers, we quickly began to attract larger clients as well, including businesses, universities and even international organizations. As Flarian continues to grow, we will strive to bring our products - as well as our innovation and client-friendly business ethic - to even more people in Canada and beyond.
What drives Flarian is a desire for innovation. In particular, our goal is to discover creative and practical solutions that allow us to look beyond a technology's basic and obvious functions in order to harness its untapped potential. This can be seen in our flagship product, the Flarian flash drive/business card, where our unconventional product design along with the services we offer have turned a relatively simple device into a powerful promotional tool.
An integral element of Flarian’s mission statement is its commitment to ensuring that labour conditions in its supply-chain are safe, that manufacturing operations are environmentally sustainable, and that its labor force is treated with respect.
Flarian’s manufacturer holds SA8000 certification. The SA8000 certification serves as a standard measure for determining a company’s or factory’s compliance with adopting protocols that ensure human rights of their work force.
Our manufacturer’s SA8000 is audited by an independent third party every alternate year based on international norms of workplace standards declared by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, International Labor Organization, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In addition to this, Flarian’s manufacturer holds certifications for Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). As part of our commitment to contribute to the society as a responsible corporate citizen we continue to expand the integration of the principles in our regular operations, culture and strategy.
